The objective of the scheme is to financially empower Kapu women above 45 years of age by enhancing their livelihood opportunities and living standards with financial assistance of Rs. 75,000/-at the rate of Rs.15,000/- per annum.

AP YSR Netanna Nestham Scheme 2020 (Phase 2)

AP government will now extend Rs. 24,000 per year to every eligible weaver’s family who has manual weaving unit. This AP YSR Nethanna Nestham Scheme will provide assistance to handloom weavers and funds for this purpose has been released on 20 June 2020. The 2nd list of AP YSR Netanna Nestam Scheme is released in all villages and towns. As most of the handloom weavers were facing difficulty in the COVID-19 lockdown, CM YS Jagan has started this Netanna Nestham Scheme Phase 2 on 20 June 2020. AP YSR Nethanna Nestham Scheme is a first-of-its-kind initiative to boost powerloom sector in the country.

E-Marketing Platform for Handloom, Handicrafts

To market handloom and handicrafts on the e-platform, the state govt. of AP needs to cross three bridges:-

• Quality which needs to be maintained by the artisans.
• Logistics bridge which involves marketing.
• Payment bridge.

The officials concerned would be working on this and the state govt. of Andhra Pradesh plans to launch the e-platform on 2 Oct 2020. In addition to this, the diesel subsidy on fishing boats is doubled to Rs. 9 per litre. Fishermen should take diesel from specified petrol bunks in the vicinity of fishing harbours. AP govt. will also provide guarantee to enable Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) to obtain loan of Rs. 1,000 crore to buy new buses to replace the old ones. AP Power Finance Corporation can now issue bonds of upto Rs. 4,471 crore to rescue distribution companies (DISCOMs) in financial crisis.

The state cabinet has also raised additional retail excise tax on liquor to implement its policy of imposing prohibition in phases Andhra Pradesh. The AP govt. will form a separate corporation to outsource employees in various govt. departments.

Other Decisions in AP Cabinet Meeting

The other decisions which were taken in the AP cabinet meeting are as follows:-
— Junior advocates will get stipend of Rs. 5,000 per month
— Salaries of home guards has been increased from Rs. 600 to Rs. 710 per day. There is now hike salaries of home guards to around Rs. 3,300 per month from present Rs. 18,000 per month.
— The honorarium for organizers of mid-day meals in schools has been hiked to Rs. 3,000 per month from Rs. 1,000.

 

AP Jagananna Palle Velugu Scheme : 

4 Lakh LED Street Lights + Complaint Monitoring System (CMS)

Andhra Pradesh government is going to launch a new AP Jagananna Palle Velugu Scheme 2020. In this scheme, the state govt. will install 4 lakh LED street lights in 2,000 habitations across the state. These 2k selected areas does not have street lights as these are not yet covered under any present project. The goals of environment protection, reduction of dark sports in AP state and ensuring women safety to be achieved through this scheme. AP cabinet committee has also decided to put up a new Complaint Monitoring System.

AP Street Light Installation Scheme as well as new Complaint Management System will ensure security in remote areas. The LED Street Lights CMS will involve village secretaries to address complaints on non-functional street lights. Around 7,000 energy assistants will be deputed to address such complaints. Moreover, the services of 2.7 lakh village volunteers will also be utilized in identifying and reporting on malfunctioning street lights.

The CMS will also have 1 executive at the assembly constituency level, 1 at the revenue division level and 1 at the district level to monitor and supervise repair works of street lights.

4 Lakh More LED Street Lights Installation in Andhra Pradesh

The AP state govt. has decided to install 4 lakh more LED streetlights in the Andhra Pradesh state. These street lights would be installed in addition to the existing 25 lakh street lights. In AP Jagananna Palle Velugu Scheme, govt. will install 4 lakh street lights in 2,000 rural habitations across various districts that were not covered under any project. Here are the important benefits of installing LED street lights in across 2,000 places in the Andhra Pradesh state under AP Jagananna Palle Velugu Scheme 2020.

• LED street lights depreciate at a much slower rate than other alternatives.

Previously the government was decided to distribute the free houses on Ugadi. But due to the nationwide lockdown because of coronavirus threat now the government has fixed 8th July 2020 for the distribution.

During the review meeting of housing scheme with the officials on 2nd June 2020 (Tuesday) chief minister of the Andhra Pradesh state YSR Jagan Mohan Reddy has declared that the houses available in the stock will be distributed on 8th June 2020. Not only this he also directs the officials to clear all the pending dues. The due amount is Rs.1,323 crores for about 3,38,144 houses. CM also told the officials who were present there to assign a day for payments to ensure there should be no payment lapse. 15 lakh new houses will be constructed at the location of Visakhapatnam, Kurnool and Nellore districts for the people. As per the information these houses contain a bedroom, kitchen, living room, toilet, and veranda without compromising the quality of the construction material.

Budget Sanction For Housing Scheme

On 16th June, 2020 Tuesday Finance Minister B Rajendra nath Reddy, Government of Andhra Pradesh has formally introduced the budget of the state for the financial year 2020-2021. In this state budget major highlights were the allocation of the fund for the twenty-one welfare schemes runon the name of Late YS Rajasekhara Reddy and Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to provide financial help to the needy people. YSR Cheyutha Scheme New Updates

 The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is going to launch YSR Cheyutha Scheme 2020 on Wednesday 12th August 2020. Through this scheme, Rs 75000 financial help will be provided to women over 4 years who are in the age group from 45 years to 60 years. In YSR Cheyutha Scheme the beneficiaries have the freedom to spend this amount the way they want. This amount will be paid directly into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. In 4 years Rs 18750 per year will be provided to beneficiaries.

The government has announced a budget of Rs 17000 crore for the implementation of this scheme. The main objective of launching this scheme is to empower women. YSR Jagananna Vidya Kanuka - Kits Scheme 2020

Andhra Pradesh government has decided to start Jagananna Vidya Kanuka Scheme 2020-21 for students on 5th September. Under this scheme the state government will provide education kits to government school students. The government is launching this scheme so that the students of govt. schools can easily focus on their studies.Education Minister A. Suresh has asked officials to make sure that the ‘Jagananna Vidya Kanuka’ kits are ready by the time the schools reopen.

Reviewing the programme that envisages free supply of kits, comprising uniform cloth, notebooks, bag, shoes and a belt, to the students, the Minister enquired with the officials about the supply target and how much of it had been met so far. He wanted the officials to be constantly in touch with the suppliers to ensure that the kits reached the schools in time.

When informed that 35% of the notebooks, 46% of school bags and 38% of shoes had been despatched to the respective districts, the Minister reiterated that 100% stocks should be ready when schools reopen.

AP Jagananna Vidya Kanuka Kits Scheme 2020 Eligibility Criteria

• Only legally permanent resident students of Andhra Pradesh are eligible to avail of this scheme.
• According to the draft of the scheme prepared by the Andhra Pradesh government, only students studying in government schools can avail of this scheme.
• Only regular school going students are eligible to apply under this scheme. Additionally, other students are not eligible to apply.
• According to the official draft released by the state government, students from first-class to high school will be able to get the educational kit provided by the government.

CM Jagan Mohan Reddy to launch 1,068 new 108, 104 ambulances

 

VIJAYAWADA: Deputy Chief Minister (Health) Alla Nani and Panchayat Raj Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy on Tuesday inspected the arrangements for the launch of 1,068 new vehicles for ‘108’ and ‘104’ emergency services, a day before the ceremony in Vijayawada. The ambulances, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, will be taken to their allotted mandals in 13 districts after their launch by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday.

MLAs and officials. Speaking to mediapersons here, the deputy CM observed that YS Rajasekhara Reddy had introduced ‘108’ and ‘104’ services to extend emergency medical aid and save lives. “However, the previous Chandrababu Naidu government completely neglected them and rendered them useless. Mobile medical units introduced for rural areas were also rendered useless due to lack of proper maintenance.”

Top priority was being accorded to health and emergency medical services after the formation of the YSRC government, he said. “As part of revamping the emergency services, the new vehicles, with state-of-the-art equipment, are being inducted into service in addition to the existing ones,” he said and added `201 crore was spent on the ambulances. Among the 412 new 108 vehicles, 104 are basic life support and 282 are advanced life support vehicles and 26 (two for each of 13 districts) neonatal ambulances. As many as 656 vehicles will be inducted into ‘104’ service.
